Senior Data Scientist, Vice President

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist, Vice President to lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and GenAI solutions for corporate projects. This is a hands-on data scientist role focusing on turning corporate service use cases into practical, scalable solutions that improve employee experience and meet enterprise standards for privacy, compliance, and responsible AI.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of data science solutions, from problem framing and model development to deployment and monitoring. You will partner with business, product, engineering, data, and governance teams to deliver measurable, production-ready outcomes.

What you will be responsible for

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of data science, machine learning, and GenAI solutions for use cases such as employee self-service and knowledge retrieval.
• Develop predictive and machine learning models that generate actionable business insights from employee and operational data.
• Build and improve LLM-enabled capabilities, including retrieval-based solutions, prompt design, grounded responses, and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner with business, engineering, data, and governance teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and explainable solutions.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in experimentation, validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or applied AI, including production delivery.
• Strong proficiency in Python, machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, and large-scale data platforms.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying ML or AI solutions in AWS or Azure.
• Experience with LLM or NLP solutions, including prompt engineering, retrieval-based architecture, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to present complex AI topics to senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with policy-centered AI use cases, search and retrieval systems, and question-answering workflows.
• Understanding of privacy, governance, and compliance considerations for sensitive enterprise data.
• Experience in banking or related industry is a plus.
