Job Description

This is an entry-level opportunity that supports the lending process with financial analysis and credit monitoring for our Corporate and Commercial Banking clients. Our team of dedicated managers and subject matter experts contributes to the extensive training and development that builds a strong technical foundation and understanding of a variety of corporate customers and their credit portfolios.

As an Analyst, your primary accountabilities include

Complete accurate and consistent financial statements spreads, quarterly trend analyses, covenant tests, and collateral reviews in accordance with bank spreading standards and wholesale credit policies

Maintains USB’s compliance monitoring database that tracks credit approval requirements and receipt of customer's financial reporting requirements on behalf of the Portfolio Managers and/or Relationship Managers

This position will be located in Cincinnati. We offer our team members a hybrid work arrangement. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at a U.S. Bank location, while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with coursework in accounting and finance, or equivalent work experience

One to three years of experience in financial statement and analysis activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

Thorough knowledge of financial statements and analysis

Basic understanding of credit analysis, administration, and policy and procedures

Prior credit/banking experience

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to identify and resolve exceptions with minimal guidance and to interpret data

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to read and comprehend credit write-ups and loan documentation
