About our Company:Universal DX, Inc. is an international Company with a highly experienced team focused on cracking cancer’s code. Through our multi-omics and bioinformatics models, we have figured out how to read the disease’s signals in blood with high accuracy to detect cancer in its earliest stages. Starting with a colorectal cancer screening liquid biopsy test, we are building a multi-cancer platform that can identify the unique DNA regions associated with different types of cancers.
The Opportunity:
Universal Diagnostics (UDx) is seeking aMolecular Technologistto join our LabOperationsTeam in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. In this role, you will perform a range of molecular techniques, including whole blood processing, DNA/cfDNA extraction, PCR, and Next-Generation Sequencing. You will also support equipment maintenance and sample tracking to ensure efficient and reliable lab operations as we continue to scale the UDx Signal-C assay.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, includingassay development,automation, bioinformatics,and qualityto support ongoing lab execution and study work.
How you’ll contribute:
Perform end-to-end NGS workflows, including plasma processing, cfDNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing,Maintain accurate and complete documentation in LIMS and laboratory recordsOperate and maintain laboratory equipment including conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed Follow SOPs and batch records to ensure consistent and reproducible resultsAdhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, including documenting instrument maintenanceAdhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including handling hazardous materials and waste disposal procedures Collaborate withcross-functional teams to support study execution and lab operationsDocument deviations and corrective actions in accordance with quality standardsAssists with training and mentoring junior lab technicians. What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistryor a related field, with hands-on experience in a molecular laboratoryExperience with NGS workflows, including DNA extraction, library preparation, and hybrid captureStrong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret dataExperience handling, quantifying, and purifying DNA samplesFamiliarity with automated liquid handling systems is a plusProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience working in a CLIA or CAP high-complexity laboratory preferredFamiliarity with LIMS platforms preferredWhat we´ll offer:
