As a Product Designer, you will plan,designand executeproductsthatare intuitive, functional,scalable,and aligned withuserneeds andbusiness goals. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, System Analysts, and Developers to design and refine solutions that enhance theuserexperience across ourlogisticsand transportation services.

In this role, you willbe responsible fortranslating high-level product requirements into detailed design specifications. Yourexpertiseinproductdesign will help drive the creation ofuseroriented,observable,feasible,and technically sound solutions. You will play a critical role infleshing out technical stories, ensuring that designs meet bothuserneeds and technical constraints.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design process for creation and adoption of personas, journey maps, requirements documents, and technical and design specifications that meet both user and business needs.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Systems Analysts, and Developers to translate business requirements into effective design solutions, ensuring readiness for development.
  • Evaluate technical constraints with development teams and participate in technical feasibility assessments during product discovery.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and improve the user experience.
  • Lead user testing sessions to validate design concepts, using feedback to refine and enhance designs before final development.
  • Contribute to and maintain the design system, accessibility standards, and ensure a consistent user experience across products.
  • Document design decisions and technical stories, providing clear specifications and guidelines for Developers to follow.
  • Use user feedback, analytics, and industry best practices to continuously enhance products and design processes.
  • Stay current on emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degreein design, human-computer interaction, computer science, ora relatedfield (or equivalent experience). 
  • 3-5 years of experiencein product designor product management, preferably with exposure to technical product development inlogistics, transportation, or a related industry. 
  • Strongtechnical understandingof software systems, with the ability to collaborate with system analysts and developers on detailed technical stories. 
  • Solid grasp ofproduct designprinciples(functionality, usability,usercentricity, etc.)and best practices, witha track recordof deliveringuser-centered designs that solve real problems.
  • Experience inworking closely with development teams, with a solid understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and how theyimpactdesign. 
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience conductinguserresearch and usability testing to inform design decisions.
  • Strong communicationskills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
