Job description

Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a Lead Automation Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and/or repairs of company equipment with a focus on automated systems. Leading troubleshooting and improvement project efforts. This is a leadership role without direct reports.

Pay

  • $70,000 - $90,000 annually

Essential Job Functions / Primary Responsibilities

  • Adheres to and promotes all safety procedures and safety culture.
  • Serves as the Lead Technician for the Equipment Maintenance Team.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support and implement companywide projects and efforts.
  • Resolves high-level technical issues and acts as a subject matter expert for automated production equipment.
  • Monitors and makes minor adjustments to vision inspection systems.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Assists automation engineering team in the building of automated cells, fixtures and End of Arm Tools.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities on automated equipment.
  • Ensures accurate documentation for repairs and maintenance in ERP system.
  • Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Desired
  • 2-year technical degree

Experience

  • Required
  • 2-year degree in Automation Systems and Robotic, Mechatronics or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automated equipment / machine maintenance and repair.
  • Desired
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and / or mentor others OR Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for a leadership role.
  • Experience with clean room manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of robotics, vision inspection systems automated controls, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficient in the use of hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
