National Account Manager - Outdoor Living Retail (3+ yrs exp req.) Description

Our client in the consumer goods industry is looking for a National Sales Account Manager - Outdoor Living to add to their team. In this role, you will own major retail relationships, lead buyer meetings, drive seasonal sell-ins, and help bring an innovative patio category product into store-level retail programs. Our client is looking for someone with outdoor living category or product sales experience, retailer account ownership with Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sam's Club or Costo with in-store product placement, and strong patio umbrella, shade, or outdoor furniture knowledge. To be successful, you must be confident leading line reviews, building buyer presentations, and translating product details into retail value. This is a great opportunity to grow a category, influence assortment strategy, and expand into additional product lines over time.

National Account Manager - Outdoor Living Retail (3+ yrs exp req.) Responsibilities

  • Own major retailer meetings, line reviews, and seasonal sell-ins • Manage retail accounts, renewals, and buyer follow-up • Grow relationships with big-box and national retail buyers • Build buyer presentations, product briefs, and account plans • Define product positioning, pricing tiers, and assortments • Share buyer feedback with product, sourcing, and sales support • Track category trends, competitive products, and retail programs • Identify new retail account opportunities in outdoor living • Support forecasts, sales plans, and account-level growth goals

National Account Manager - Outdoor Living Retail (3+ yrs exp req.) Qualifications

  • 3+ years of outdoor living category/product sales experience required • 3+ years of big-box retail account ownership (Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sam's Club or Costco) experience required • In-store product placement and seasonal sell-in experience required • Line review and buyer presentation experience required • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Zoom required • Willingness/ability to travel 5-10 times per year required
