JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Petoskey, Michigan Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Aug 15, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026 Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8 hrs patient care (clinic 2-4 hrs) + night call; Sat/Sun, 24-hr call Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 6-8 outpatient visits, 1.5 deliveries/day FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff Available: 2 NPs REQUIRED PROCEDURES Prenatal care Vaginal deliveries C-sections VBAC JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in OB/GYN (Required) Licenses: Active Michigan License (Required) Experience: Minimum 2 years in OB/GYN (Required) Other Qualifications: Local candidate required; NPDB report within 30 days; Submit rates at name clear. Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient OB/GYN clinic care (2-4 hours per day, Mon-Fri) Manage prenatal care and routine gynecological services Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections as needed Provide 24-hour call coverage, including night call on weekdays and 24-hour call on weekends Document patient encounters in Cerner EMR and comply with reverse billing/time tracking via DocTime
