Power BI Visualization Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Visualization Engineer to design and deliver business-driven dashboards and semantic models that enable actionable insights at scale. This role is not a traditional data engineering position —it focuses on Power BI expertise, data modeling, performance optimization, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality, visually compelling reporting solutions for business users.

What you'll be doing

• Deliver impactful, business-oriented dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Service.
• Build and optimize semantic data models (star schema, relationships) for BI performance and accuracy .
• Create advanced DAX measures , ensuring calculation correctness, context awareness, and query performance.
• Work directly with stakeholders: gather requirements, define KPI frameworks , and translate them into actionable visual insights.
• Enable self-service BI and ensure best practices in design for readability, aesthetics, and scalability .
• Work with SQL-based data sources (data warehouses) to prepare and optimize data for reporting.

Who we're looking for

• Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop & Service) , including governance and publishing workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX , including measures, context handling, and performance tuning.
• Experience in data modeling concepts , including star schema and relationship management.
• Solid SQL knowledge for data preparation within large-scale environments.
• Proven ability to create clear, visually appealing dashboards aligned with business KPIs .
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure data services (Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, Fabric).
• Knowledge of Power Query (M language) for ETL transformations.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments .
• Exposure to Power Automate and Power Platform for workflow automation.
• Python for ad hoc data tasks or automation scenarios.
• Experience working with corporate BI environments and large datasets .
