Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in histology and possess excellent technical skills. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist. You will work closely with our team of pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue samples for processing, including embedding, sectioning, and staining
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision of results
• Keep accurate records of all samples and procedures performed
• Prepare and maintain laboratory solutions and reagents
• Troubleshoot technical issues and make recommendations for improvements
• Comply with all safety and quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely delivery of results
• Participate in training and development programs to stay current with new techniques and procedures in the field of histology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Histology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a histology laboratory setting
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of histology procedures and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Proficient in using computer software for data entry and analysis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be willing to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates
