Sales Representative - Full Cycle Sales (Government Contracts)
Location: Oakland, CA Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 annually (DOE - depending on experience and qualifications) Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
Cable Moore Inc. is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative with experience in full-cycle sales and government contracting . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire sales process-from lead generation to closing deals-while maintaining strong relationships with government and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle , including prospecting, outreach, presentations, negotiation, and closing
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, procurement officers, and commercial clients
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in federal, state, and local government markets
- Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and contract correspondence
- Interpret and respond to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotes)
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and contract documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in full-cycle sales
- Experience working with government contracts (federal, state, or local preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for formal correspondence and proposals
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Familiarity with procurement processes and compliance requirements
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar preferred)
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial, utility, construction, or supply chain sales
- Knowledge of government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (not required but preferred)
