We are seeking a brilliant engineer to join our team and help us create high performance Test and Measurement solutions. As a member of this team, you will develop a broad range of features used by scientists and engineers around the world to create the technology of tomorrow. This position requires a keen and inventive mind, a passion for our customers and an uncommon dedication to quality. This position is instrumental to our platform development and the expertise of our team is second to none.
Job Responsibilities
Duties of this position include defining and reviewing specifications, reviewing and enhancing architectures, developing and implementing algorithms, optimizing system performance and evaluating the implementation. This includes the development of verification and validation software. This new member of our team will grow to be a generalist who can work in any area of our application code. Our application software is developed using C++, C# and Python and is the beating heart of the oscilloscope.
Curiosity, innovation and excellent verbal/written communication and teamwork skills are essential requirements for this position.
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred: Master's degree in: Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience working with advanced C/C++, C# and Python
- Strong OOD experience including design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems development and memory/processor constraints for software scalability
- Mastery of multithreading, memory management, and real time operating system concepts.
- Knowledge of programming for both Linux and Windows run-time environments.
- An understanding of, and familiarity with, precision electronics instruments; especially oscilloscopes.
- Engineering tools & techniques: Git (or equivalent) for CM, Jira and Jama (or equivalent) for activity and requirements tracking.
- Experience with Agile development paradigms, especially Scrum.
- Experience taking a product through the entire life cycle from inception to production and support.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred skills
- Agile Scrum Master or Product Owner.
- Familiarity with Qt.

National: The salary range for this position is $98,000- $182,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
