Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Bank Teller at our Durban branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking operations and a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments accurately and efficiently
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about banking products and services
• Identify and recommend banking solutions to customers based on their financial needs
• Promote and cross-sell bank products and services to customers
• Maintain and balance cash drawers and ensure accurate record-keeping of transactions
• Adhere to all security and compliance procedures to protect bank assets and customer information
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and efficient work environment
• Continuously update knowledge of banking products, services, and procedures to provide accurate information to customers
• Handle and resolve customer complaints and escalate issues to management as needed
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in finance, accounting, or related field is a plus
• Prior experience in a banking or customer service role is preferred
• Strong mathematical and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and transactions
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance procedures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Contract Details

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
