- Coordinate and oversee Project Managers and workstream leads across multiple parallel initiatives.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear plans, milestones, owners and deadlines.
- Challenge delivery status, validate progress and hold stakeholders accountable for agreed actions.
- Maintain an integrated programme roadmap and manage cross-project dependencies.
- Own RAID, action and decision management, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
- Identify delays, resource constraints and delivery risks, and escalate them with clear recommendations.
- Prepare concise, decision-oriented materials for senior stakeholders.
- Support business readiness, transition and organisational change activities.
- Maintain momentum across the programme, including in situations where stakeholders have conflicting priorities.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Senior PMO Manager, Programme Manager, Portfolio Manager or Transformation PMO Manager .
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of projects or coordinating multiple Project Managers and workstreams.
- Experience supporting complex, international business transformation programmes.
- Strong programme governance, dependency management, RAID management and executive reporting skills.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and addressing difficult delivery conversations.
- Ability to challenge constructively, communicate expectations clearly and persistently follow up on commitments.
- Strong executive presence, decisiveness and ability to operate without formal authority.
- Hands-on, delivery-focused approach combined with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, retail, GBS or shared services environments.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- Experience in procurement, commercial transformation, ESG, sourcing or source-to-pay programmes.
- Experience with operating model implementation, business transitions or outsourcing programmes.
Engagement details
- B2B contract.
- Full-time engagement.
- Initial duration: approximately six months, with possibility to be extend.
- International, remote working environment.
- Candidates must be based in the EU or the UK.
- Start: as soon as possible or to be agreed.
Who will succeed in this role?
The right person is confident, structured and comfortable working with demanding senior stakeholders. They can quickly identify where delivery is slipping, ask direct questions, challenge unclear answers and ensure that Project Managers and workstream owners deliver on their commitments.
They combine strong PMO discipline with the authority and communication style required to drive a complex transformation programme forward.
