Job description

Adelphi is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct patient care and support services at a facility in Callaway County, Missouri. The ideal candidates will support basic nursing care, patient safety, documentation, mobility, and daily care activities. Job Quick Facts • Ref #: BD-892-09 • Profession: Nursing • Specialty: Certified Nursing Assistant • Location: Callaway County, Missouri • Facility Type: State hospital / behavioral health setting • Job Type: Temporary Contract • Openings: Multiple • Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week • Shift: Days: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM or Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM • Coverage: May include weekends and holidays • Start Date: August 1, 2026, or until filled • Contract Duration: Up to 12 months • Compensation: $20 -$25 Requirements • Active Missouri CNA certification • Experience providing basic nursing care and patient support • Ability to assist with vital signs, hygiene, ambulation, transfers, and patient escort duties • Ability to document patient location, status, and activities accurately • Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices • Ability to identify safety hazards and respond to emergency situations • Strong communication skills and ability to report changes in patient condition • Ability to complete five consecutive weeks of New Employee Orientation with no absences • Must meet credentialing, background check, and ID badge requirements • Compliance with all facility and state agency policies and procedures Responsibilities • Provide basic nursing care, including vital signs, hygiene, ambulation, and transfers. • Document patient location, status, activities, and changes in condition. • Escort patients within the facility and occasionally outside the hospital as needed. • Assist in keeping patient common areas clean and safe. • Support patient and staff safety by identifying hazards and emergency situations. • Initiate corrective action as appropriate. • Communicate changes in patient condition to support continuity of care. • Follow infection prevention and control policies and procedures. • Demonstrate procedural competency for assigned tasks. • Attend required orientation and training before beginning services. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
