Honeywell’s Federal Manufacturing & Technologies business manages the U. S. Department of Energy’s Kansas City National Security Campus in Missouri and New Mexico, manufacturing sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered-material components for our nation's defense system. - The Sr. Logistics Analyst will assist in the development of innovations in departmental systems and functions
- Conducts routine and special studies which involve compiling data, analyzing results, preparing and maintaining documentation, and proposing and implementing recommendations
- Develops, revises, and maintains divisional procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, often with competing priority levels
- Coordinates activities with other organizations ensuring requirements are incorporated
- Utilizes discretion and analysis in developing, maintaining and facilitating project plans for projects
- Acts as FM&T point-of-contact for internal and external customer projects as assigned
- Serves on various committees and task forces as assigned
- May initiate and coordinate discussions and/or meetings between DOE, other Federal Agencies, Vendors and FM&T Departments to resolve and address Logistics related issues
- Assist teams and management as necessary to accomplish division/department objectives
- Utilizes appropriate computer software to complete assignments, including PeopleSoft ERP system, Microsoft Office, Solumina and other available products
- Develops queries to analyze and generate reports on Inventory, excess property and other material transactions completed in the Logistics organization to support performance metrics and process improvements
- May perform other duties as required
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified
You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain Mgmt or a related technical field with a minimum of three years of related experience. In lieu of degree a minimum of seven years related work experience
We Value
- Project management experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required to interface with DOE, Federal and State Agencies and the General Public
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP application experience
- Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management and data analysis
- Extensive knowledge of demand management, contract management, and financial management
- Ability to identify and make recommendations for resolution of project related problems utilizing analytical skills
