Job description

As Facility Manager, you will join us during an exciting transformation period, as our department shifts from traditional Facility Management toward a strategic FM Portfolio approach, with a heavy emphasis on Procurement and comprehensive Contract & Service Management. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-efficient operation of our portfolio of stores. You will merge technical maintenance management with strategic sourcing skills and financial control, acting as an internal Business Partner with excellent interpersonal skills capable of building trusting relationships with the operation and ensuring long-term asset performance in line with global guidelines

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations and Category Management (Hard & Soft FM)

  • Oversee FM's full scope and strategy, including Technical Facilities (HVAC), General Maintenance, Shopfitting, Energy & Utilities, Cleaning and Waste Management throughout the Sales Market (CL, PE, UY, PY).
  • Monitor portfolio condition, identify preventive maintenance (PPM) and corrective needs, and plan actions to optimize asset life.

2. Procurement, Tenders and Contracts (Procurement Focus)

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting of facilities service providers  in line with global guidelines.
  • Design and execute bidding processes using official tools (RFI/RFP) and ensure the correct prequalification of new suppliers to maintain a solid foundation.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and conduct regular technical, commercial and quality performance audits of all suppliers and lessors.

3. Financial Control and Data Management

  • Budget Management: Ensure financial predictability and optimization through robust budgeting, tracking actual versus budget costs, and correctly identifying operational load accounts.
  • Control Tools: Monitor and rigorously control the status of the regional budget through data analysis in reporting platforms (Power BI or equivalents).
  • Invoicing Flow: Ensure the correct, timely and efficient processing, posting and follow-up of invoices in the company's management system (VIM / SAP).
  • Digital Governance: Manage 100% of operational demand, asset data and Capex/Opex records through the global CAFM system (Planon), ensuring the highest quality and standardization of data.

4. Stakeholders & Business Alignment

  • Collaborate closely and proactively with key market stakeholders (such as Store Managers, Area Managers, among others), anticipating, interpreting, and resolving operational needs to ensure that maintenance supports the business strategy.
  • Establish routines of face-to-face visits to the market stores to evaluate the condition of the assets in the field, raise requirements directly and maintain fluid and reliable communication channels with the operation teams.
  • Ensure that health and safety requirements are strictly adhered to at all locations, working closely with suppliers and the local safety area.
  • Education: Professional degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Business Administration or related career.
  • Experience: Between 3 and 6 years of demonstrable experience in Facility Management, construction, strategic purchasing or service contract management.
  • Supplier Management: Proven skills to negotiate, lead tenders, and strongly enforce KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Management Systems: Experience in the daily use of maintenance management software (CAFM / Planon or similar), with a high orientation to the methodological order and data standardization.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic ally to field teams in a dynamic and matrix environment.
  • Language: Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.

La posición estará basada en Chile y tendrá responsabilidad regional, brindando soporte y supervisión de las operaciones de Chile, Perú, Uruguay y Paraguay.

El dominio del inglés es un requisito indispensable para el éxito en este rol.

La persona trabajará de forma permanente con equipos internacionales y mantendrá una interacción frecuente tanto con la región como con los Headquarters, donde el inglés es el idioma de trabajo. Por ello, se requiere un nivel de inglés avanzado que permita desenvolverse con fluidez en reuniones, presentaciones y comunicación escrita.
