Strategic Planning Analyst
Job description
C5MI is not your typical consulting firm. We are a high-performance team of SAP and supply chain experts who solve complex, mission critical challenges for organizations that cannot afford failure.
We hire consultants who thrive in complexity, move fast, take ownership, and deliver under pressure. At C5MI, you will not be siloed or stuck in theory. You will be hands on, client facing, and directly influencing outcomes that matter.
Our culture rewards initiative, accountability, and continuous growth. This is a place where your expertise is valued, your work is meaningful, and your performance truly matters. If you’re energized by learning through real-world challenges, collaborating with top-tier talent, and expanding your capabilities every day, C5MI is where strong consultants level up.
Position Summary: The Strategic Planning Analyst translates C5MI’s executive vision into a coherent, compelling narrative for employees, federal agency clients, teaming partners, and investors. Sitting at the intersection of corporate strategy, internal culture, and market positioning, this role serves as the connective tissue that keeps every level of the organization aligned to the same mission as the company scales. The analyst owns both the internal communications infrastructure and external messaging, ensuring C5MI speaks with one voice — internally and externally.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Internal Strategy Communications: Owns the end-to-end internal communications framework — all-hands talking points, leadership newsletters, strategy update memos, and department briefings — that connects every employee to C5MI’s strategic direction, company priorities, and performance metrics. Maintains a communications calendar that ensures consistent strategic messaging across departments and eliminates information silos. Partners with HR, Operations, and Delivery leads to cascade strategy from the executive level to individual contributors.
Rockefeller Habits Implementation: Serves as the internal champion and operational owner of the Rockefeller Habits (Scaling Up) framework across C5MI’s leadership and functional teams. Designs and facilitates the full meeting rhythm — daily huddles, weekly team meetings, monthly management reviews, and quarterly/annual planning sessions. Owns and maintains the One-Page Strategic Plan (OPSP), tracks progress against quarterly Rocks, manages the company-wide critical number dashboard, and coaches department heads on disciplined habit-based execution.
- Thought Leadership & External Content: Provides strategic expertise on C5MI strategy to integrate into white papers, executive briefings, press releases, and capability statements that position C5MI as the premier federal SAP modernization and supply chain partner.
- Executive & Leadership Support: Acts as the CSO’s strategic communications advisor, preparing briefing materials, talking points, and presentation assets for investor updates, board meetings, partner forums, and client engagements. Supports the CSO and senior leadership team in preparing for all-hands meetings, board presentations, and external appearances.
- Culture & Growth Enablement: Identifies messaging gaps that create internal friction or limit external growth and develop targeted solutions.
- Partners with HR on cultureinitiatives, change management communications, and employee engagement content that connects individual roles to company outcomes.
- Adheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or a related field with 5-7 years of experience in strategic communications, corporate messaging, or marketing within government contracting, federal technology, or professional services; or no degree with 7-10 years of stated relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical and strategic content into compelling, audience-appropriate communications across all formats.
- Proven track record of influencing across executive, delivery, sales, and HR functions without direct authority.
- Ability to travel for in person meetings and events up to 20% as needed.
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience implementing or facilitating Rockefeller Habits, Scaling Up, EOS, or OKR frameworks in a growth-stage company.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP, federal IT modernization, or government contracting business models.
- Experience developing or managing executive-level presentation materials, investor decks, or board communications.
- Background in change management communications or internal culture program design.
- Proficiency with project management or OKR tracking tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Perdoo, or similar).
- Prior experience in a high-growth, scale-up, or PE/VC-backed professional services environment.
