SAS Trainer Space and Assortment

The planogram department onboards an average of sixty to seventy associates per year, highlighting the training team’s essential role in ensuring sustained departmental performance through robust new-hire programs and ongoing development opportunities. The SAS Trainer Space and Assortment is required to possess comprehensive knowledge of organizational procedures, standards, and software platforms to serve reliably as resources for colleagues, stakeholders, and clients. In addition to fulfilling assignments from the Training Manager, trainers collaborate closely with managers and brand leads to evaluate training requirements and to deliver continued educational support as they work to transform newcomers into high performers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end training process for new employees, including coordinating new hire integration onto the team and monitoring post-training tasks and employee progress.
  • Oversee the design and facilitation of refresher training sessions, collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and deliver tailored content to internal teams and clients.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of training, documentation, and communications for process updates.
  • Initiate and coordinate technical support & problem resolution.
  • Lead the creation, revision, and presentation of training materials to support procedural compliance and operational consistency.
  • Contribute to the validation and testing of new systems and workflows prior to deployment.
  • Administer and guide multiple structured mentorship efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: 2–4 years Prior space management experience as well as a background in instructional delivery and facilitation

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Highly skilled in all aspects of space planning—including processes, timelines, tools, and planogram standards—and adept at delivering training that accommodates a wide range of learner abilities and styles.
  • Exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both in-person and virtually, with a proven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and produce accurate, detail-oriented content.
  • Take a proactive and dependable approach to identifying and meeting training needs, operating autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration with managers and associates.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in engaging with both leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration and workplace synergy.
  • Dedicated to supporting individual development through impactful teaching and inventive information delivery, while exhibiting a calm, encouraging, and responsive demeanor in training environments.
