Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Aerospace Materials & Inventory Control

We are hiring a Warehouse Inventory Specialist to support aerospace and manufacturing operations through accurate inventory management, material handling, warehouse logistics, and inventory control. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials while ensuring compliance with inventory procedures, quality standards, safety requirements, and production schedules in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, route, store, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations following established storage procedures.
  • Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories while maintaining inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • Inspect stored materials for damage or deterioration and report discrepancies.
  • Pick, issue, package, and prepare materials, parts, and hardware for shipment.
  • Review production schedules to ensure required materials and hardware are available to support manufacturing and operational requirements.
  • Analyze inventory levels, material requirements, and scheduling priorities to support production deadlines and minimize shortages.
  • Investigate material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and configuration issues while coordinating effective resolutions.
  • Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required to support operational needs.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies related to health and safety, tool control, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, housekeeping, inventory control, and contractual requirements.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and perform assigned duties while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations across all assigned shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support company and program objectives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 4+ years of warehouse inventory, material handling, or inventory control experience.
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy, accountability, and material traceability.
  • Computer proficiency with inventory management systems and standard business software.
  • Current forklift certification or the ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds independently and participate in team lifts for loads exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including eye, face, hearing, hand, and arm protection.
  • Ability to pass required visual acuity and color vision examinations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to safely handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required training and operational certifications.
  • Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, overhead reaching, balancing, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, sitting, and head/neck movement throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work all assigned shifts as required.
