Job description

Job Description: We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to design, execute, and scale our broker-driven and strategic distribution channels across Latin America,  with a primary focus on the Andean Region. This is a high-impact role that reports to the Regional Sales Director and plays a key role in defining Olé Life’s commercial strategy for the insurance market. The ideal candidate combines deep experience in insurance and broker distribution with a strategic, data-driven approach to growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead and scale the broker, intermediary, and advisor sales channels, defining the end-to-end strategy for acquisition, onboarding, activation, performance management, and retention. Build and deepen strategic partnerships with insurance brokers, aggregators, and key distribution partners to accelerate growth, expand coverage, and increase market penetration. Identify and execute market expansion opportunities and support entry across the whole region. Maintain availability to travel across the region to visit priority markets, top brokers, and key advisors to drive business expansion and performance. Empower advisors and intermediaries with strategic support, tools, training, and clear guidance to maximize productivity and commercial success. Design and execute sales strategies to improve conversion rates, exceed sales targets, and strengthen pipeline discipline across channels. Leverage digital tools and data analytics to enhance performance, improve decision-making, and identify high-impact opportunities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Marketing, and other internal teams to align go-to-market plans, ensure operational readiness, and continuously improve broker/advisor experience and product-market fit. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in business development, commercial, or distribution roles within the insurance or insurtech industry. Proven experience managing broker networks or indirect distribution channels. Strong understanding of insurance distribution dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and sales cycles. Demonstrated ability to build and scale sales systems and teams in high-growth environments. Solid analytical and strategic mindset with experience using data to inform commercial decisions. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with executive presence and negotiation ability. Fluency in English
