Overview

Our General Managers are the driving force behind our guest and team member experience, personifying leadership with a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading a team of professionals. Everett’s 8800 General Manager is responsible for leading the success of the award-winning restaurant and the driving force behind our world-class culinary and hospitality journey that is Everett’s 8800.

Responsibilities

Picture yourself being the General Manager of Ever e tt’s 8800 at Big Sky Resort and having the opportunity to:

  • Be a leading part of an unforgettable unique guest dining experience leading the transformation of the North American mountain destinations
  • Lead and assist leaders and team members with overall direction and team development, while promoting a fun work environment
  • Train and inspire an entire team to the highest levels of service and hospitality
  • Assign areas of responsibility for front of house l eader s , communicate expectations and follow up consistently during one-on-one conversations
  • Facilitate daily line-ups with service teams using excellent communication skills
  • Ensure the highest level of industry service standards and food & b everage standards are maintained consistently
  • Create well defined plans to meet budgets and predetermined goals
  • Plan, execute and follow up with new company initiatives, including food & beverage specials and menu additions
  • Verify all daily administration is carried out according to company polic ies and standards
  • Hold leadership meetings weekly with an agenda and time allotted for discussion , engagement and feedback
  • Communicate effectively with the Leadership Team, peers and vendors, addressing concerns as needed
  • Collaborate with BOH leadership team to assure seamless service
  • Coordinate logistics with Receiving team to ensure safe and efficient product delivery
  • Build and maintain positive interdepartmental relationships, including Mountain Operations and Conference Services
  • Lead the Team Member Training Program and consistently maintain expectations throughout the season
  • Interview and assist in the final selection of all team members, maintaining appropriate staffing levels to deliver an exceptional guest experience
  • Follow established systems and processes for scheduling, staffing, pre shift meetings, inventory and other responsibilities to assure compliance with our brand standards
  • Step in and support any and ALL roles within the dining operation during our busiest times
  • Ensure Leaders and Team Members are in compliance with dress code standards
  • Ensure team members are maintaining cleanliness standards
  • P rovide direction and feedback, coaching regularly to support all team members
  • Remain open to feedback from leadership and team
  • Learn and follow our Boyne Standards and Boyne Basics to better serve our guests

Qualifications

Recipe for Success

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience as a General Manager or Director at an award-winning restaurant , restaurant group or hotel environment.
  • Michelin star, Forbes 5 star , 5 Diamond or James Beard Award experience is strongly preferred
  • Possess a and unwavering passion for delivering world class hospitality and culinary experiences for every guest
  • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills, must be able to attract, train and retain the very best Managers and Team Members in the industry
  • Possess thorough understanding of all d ining r oom and k itchen systems and operations; must demonstrate the ability to run effective shifts in all aspects of the restaurant
  • Exercise the highest integrity in all areas of the restaurant operation
  • Ability to understand and attain financial goals for the restaurant, with a focus on building year over year sales while balancing cost of sales, inventory , expenses and labo r
  • Highly k nowledgeable with POS , restaurant systems and procedures
  • Show a high level of personal initiative, technical problem solving and a strong sense of urgency
  • Possess strong interpersonal and motivational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and inspire staff
  • Excel in an environment with varied tasks while staying cool under pressure
  • Willingness to work within established standards and procedures , while creatively presenting solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Be available to work early, mid-day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Be able to lift at least 25 pounds
