The sales department is critical to driving demand and creating strategic partnerships across the industry.

The Head of Indirect Sales, Commercial is a high-impact, strategic people leader responsible for driving the growth, retention, and overall strategy for DISH’s commercial sales channels. This role requires an entrepreneurial, performance-driven leader who can seamlessly balance high-level strategic planning and customer management with a deep understanding of the commercial video market. The chosen leader will guide, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of commercial sales professionals and account managers while owning the commercial sales quota, optimizing the property lifecycle, and fostering critical C-level sales partnerships.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

  • Execute the Indirect Commercial Sales strategy to consistently meet and exceed department quotas, KPIs, and department OKRs
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop high-value business opportunities around new partnerships, dealer networks, and enhancements to existing commercial accounts
  • Evaluate business metrics and sales activities daily to identify trends, forecast revenue, and pivot sales strategies to maximize profitability and long-term subscriber quality
  • Oversee the negotiation, execution, and maintenance of major commercial contracts while effectively managing the entire property lifecycle from launch through renewal
  • Recruit, build, and maintain a high-performing commercial sales and account management organization focused on accountability, winning, and continuous learning
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product delivery, ongoing support, and optimized B2B and B2C campaigns

  • Highly developed executive presence with the ability to present to, negotiate with, and influence C-level industry contacts, large audiences, and internal executive leadership
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen to turn data, sales projections, and transaction activities into actionable sales playbooks
  • Decisive leadership capabilities to remain committed to business goals while masterfully facilitating discussion and alignment during difficult decisions
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven, and rapidly changing environment with minimal daily oversight
  • AI literacy to leverage advanced sales analytics tools and predictive data models for forecasting revenue and optimizing sales activities
  • Critical experience leading indirect channel sales, partner management, B2B sales, or commercial property sales alongside formal people leadership roles

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum Experience: 10 years of experience in indirect channel sales, partner management, B2B sales, or commercial property sales; 5 years of experience in a formal people leadership role
  • Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 5 years of experience with:
  • Executing commercial sales strategies and managing high-value B2B or dealer networks
  • Managing the property lifecycle including contract negotiation, renewals, and terminations
  • Overseeing complex revenue, retention, and profitability targets
  • Utilizing financial, analytical, or sales data systems to forecast revenue and track sales metrics
  • Driving cross-functional alignment across operations, finance, engineering, and marketing teams

Additional Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $114,300.00/Year - $163,350.00/Year Benefits

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
