Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role addresses the increasing complexity of federal income tax compliance and the necessity for precision in estimated tax reporting. The Senior Tax Accountant will solve data fragmentation issues by bridging workflows between the tax, accounting, and legal departments to ensure financial accuracy. By optimizing tax calculations, supporting controversy matters, and embracing cutting-edge technology, this individual ensures the company maintains a robust and compliant tax posture in a fast-paced regulatory environment.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, exceptionally proficient in Excel, and enthusiastic about integrating AI tools to streamline workflows and modernize traditional tax data management.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

Prepare and review federal corporate income tax workpapers and returns to guarantee total compliance with regulatory filing deadlines

Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments accurately to facilitate optimal corporate cash flow management

Support tax audits seamlessly by delivering organized documentation and proactive assistance with controversy matters and Information Document Requests

Execute quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations (ASC 740) reliably to support corporate financial reporting OKRs and maintain strict internal controls

Collaborate strategically with external tax consultants to ensure successful delivery of specialized tax projects, including R&D credits and strategic tax planning

Apply AI tools to streamline tax data extraction, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of routine compliance tasks

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

Advanced skills in building complex financial models and utilizing high-level Excel functions for in-depth data analysis

Technical competence in corporate tax compliance software and data blending platforms like Alteryx to modernize data workflows

Strong collaboration and professional communication skills required to partner effectively with accounting, legal, and external advisory personnel

The ability to maintain organized workflows and dynamically reset priorities within a fluid, multi-project environment

AI literacy and the practical ability to apply automated solutions to improve tax department efficiency and data accuracy

A proven track record of interpreting financial data for provision calculations, forecasting estimated payments, and navigating corporate tax compliance workflows

Additional Qualifications

Exposure to OneStream, Orbit Analytics, or similar enterprise performance management applications

Working knowledge of Longview or CorpTax platforms

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an equivalent field of study

Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in corporate tax compliance within public accounting or a multinational corporate environment

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $110,000.00/Year Benefits
