Position Summary Clinical Pharmacist Location: Orlando, FL Department: Pharmacy Services Job Type: Part-Time Advance Patient Care Through Clinical Pharmacy Excellence Orlando Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management while partnering with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes. What You'll Do As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will: Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in alignment with scientific principles, regulatory standards, and Orlando Health policies. Review, prepare, and dispense medications and intravenous therapies using pharmacy systems and established safety practices. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized pharmaceutical care plans. Apply clinical pharmacy expertise in pharmacotherapy, medication management, drug information, and patient care. Evaluate medication therapy and respond to clinical alerts, including IV-to-PO conversions, renal dosing protocols, and other medication safety initiatives. Perform pharmacokinetic consultations and clinical responsibilities as applicable, including specialized services such as TPN monitoring and management. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identify, investigate, and document adverse drug reactions and medication errors. Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy systems and required quality improvement processes. Utilize pharmacy technology, electronic health records, and other clinical applications to support safe medication practices. Provide patient-centered care across various age groups by applying knowledge of growth, development, and age-specific healthcare needs. Support a culture of safety, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Current pharmacist licensure through the Florida Board of Pharmacy (license must be maintained and renewed as required). Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, medication safety, and clinical care principles. Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills. Preferred Qualifications Hospital or health-system pharmacy experience. Experience providing clinical pharmacy services in an acute care environment. Experience with pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, medication safety initiatives, or specialty pharmacy programs. Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
