Job Title: AI Workflow & Automation Specialist Location: Remote (Kenya-based, supporting global clients) Employment Type: Part-time (20 hrs/week) or Full-time (40 hrs/week) depending on business needs Reports To: Business Owner / Field Director Role Level: Level 2 – Low-Code AI Workflow and Automation Support Role Category: Operations, Workflow Automation, AI Productivity, Process Improvement,Business Systems Support About the Role Our client, a U.S.-based provider of virtual assistant services to small businesses, churches, and nonprofits, is seeking an AI Workflow & Automation Specialist to design, build, and maintain AI-powered workflows and business automations. The ideal candidate will improve operational efficiency by connecting business systems, automating repetitive tasks, documenting processes, and leveraging AI tools to support sales, marketing, operations, and client service. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement AI-assisted workflows using no-code/low-code automation platforms. • Build automations for lead generation, CRM management, outreach, reporting, scheduling, and business operations. • Create reusable AI prompts for emails, research, reports, and documentation. • Map business processes and recommend workflow improvements. • Integrate business applications using tools such as Zapier, Make, Airtable, Power Automate, and HubSpot. • Test, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain automation workflows. • Organize and validate business data to ensure workflow accuracy. • Prepare SOPs, workflow documentation, user guides, and training materials. • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices. • Produce reports and recommend continuous process improvements. Requirements Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BBIT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, AI, ICT, or a related field. • 3–5 years of experience in workflow automation, AI tools, business systems, CRM administration, operations, or related roles. • Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Make, Power Automate, Airtable Automations, HubSpot Workflows, or similar tools. • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot. • Strong understanding of workflow automation concepts, data management, documentation, and process improvement. • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following is an added advantage: • APIs, webhooks, JSON, Git/GitHub • Python, JavaScript, SQL, React, Node.js • CRM systems, dashboards, and reporting tools • Business productivity platforms such as Notion, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace • Automation or AI-related certifications Equipment Requirements • Personal laptop/desktop • Reliable high-speed internet • Professional headset for remote work Application Requirement: Candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating previous automation or AI workflow projects.
