Junior/Intermediate 2D CAD Draughtsperson

Location: Christchurch (Office-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Salary: $61,000 - $98,000 per annum + benefits
About the Role
In this position, you will work closely with our Electrical Engineering design team, producing accurate and high-quality technical 2D CAD drawings for key projects within New Zealand's power industry. Your role will involve:
- Creating and modifying technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Collaborating with designers and other team members to ensure project specifications are met
- Reviewing and revising drawings based on feedback and project requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of drawings and project documentation
- Assisting in design development where required
About You
You're an electrical engineering draughtsperson seeking an opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career, driven by a genuine passion for design drafting.
To be successful in this role, you should have/be
- 1-5 yrs professional experience with AutoCAD 2D and are keen to deepen your expertise
- An understanding of basic electrical engineering principles (e.g. circuits, schematics, and symbols), with the ability to apply this knowledge to accurate 2D CAD drafting
- Can interpret technical drawings and specifications with confidence or eager to refine this skill
- Eager to grow - you're looking for a role where you can develop your skills and progress your career in electrical design drafting.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
- A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset, ensuring accuracy in your work
- Strong written and verbal English skills , with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- A reliable, team-oriented mindset and a positive can-do attitude
- A methodical approach to work
- New Zealand work rights and based in Christchurch.
- Availability to start immediately (allowing for up to a 4-week notice period)
