Executive Chef (Expat)
Job description
Our client is an independent 5-star luxury boutique resort located in the heart of Seminyak. They are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef (Expatriate) to lead the culinary team, oversee all kitchen operations, and create exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and operational excellence.

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a 5-star luxury hotel or resort for a minimum of two years in a similar brand.
- Strong background with internationally recognised luxury hospitality brands in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
- Solid understanding of the Indonesian culinary preferences and luxury guest expectations. • Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-outlet culinary operations, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, banquets, and special events.
- Strong expertise in menu development, food quality assurance, cost control, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills, with the ability to inspire high-performing culinary teams.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, food cost management, and inventory control.
- Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, creativity, and presentation across all dining venues.
- Develop innovative menus that align with the property's luxury positioning while reflecting market trends and guest preferences.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and compliance with company and local regulations.
- Drive financial performance by managing food costs, labor productivity, budgeting, and waste reduction without compromising quality.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team to enhance the overall guest dining experience and support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations through effective planning, inventory management, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the sourcing of premium-quality ingredients.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement continuous improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Support the property's overall business objectives by delivering innovative culinary experiences that strengthen its luxury brand positioning.
