The salary range for the position is $60,000-$65,000 Annually

Job Summary

QSAC is looking for a dedicated and organized Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team! You will be responsible for conducting internal audits of OWPDD-funded programs, investigations, fire drills and providing training to staff as needed. If you have a strong understanding of OPWDD regulations, have training from the Justice Center as an investigator, are a SCIP-R and/or American Red Cross CPR instructor and enjoy supporting people with autism, then this could be a meaningful role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations of reportable incidents and serious notable incidents as assigned
  • Complete written investigatory reports and manage all required correspondences to outside entities as assigned
  • Conduct site visits and internal audits of all agency programs, to ensure program operations are current and consistent with regulatory mandates
  • Support internal audit process to ensure compliance with NY State regulations.
  • Generate internal audit reports
  • Assist with internal billing and claiming audits of program records
  • Conduct agency orientation training
  • Assist with coordinating and scheduling trainings agency wide
  • Assist with tracking for Regulatory Trainings
  • Assist with curriculum for Regulatory Trainings
  • Conduct agency wide trainings on SCIP-R, First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Client Rights, Identification of Abuse/Neglect and Incident Reporting and HIPAA
  • Identify areas of concern regarding compliance and investigations, and work with Department Directors to create systems to address these concerns
  • Rotate being on call during off hours to ensure incidents are reported and managed in an effective and timely manner
  • When on call, responsible for monitoring incidents in IRMA at a minimum twice daily
  • Maintain current investigation certification and any other required certificates
  • Maintain individual/family confidentiality
  • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management

Qualifications & Work Experience

Qualifications are subject to change in accordance with government regulations.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Service Field and/or extensive knowledge of OPWDD Regulations and Quality Assurance experience
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of 624 regulations
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations
  • Valid Driver's license
