Job description
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to provide application support for enterprise systems including DCE, CLIP, CEDAR, and CLEAR . The ideal candidate should have strong experience supporting .NET applications, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring application stability in a production environment.
Candidates currently based in Malaysia are preferred. Candidates from India who are in the process of relocating to Malaysia are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 application support for enterprise applications.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Support application deployments, releases, and system maintenance activities.
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams to resolve application-related issues.
- Analyze application logs, database queries, and system performance to identify problems.
- Prepare incident reports, operational documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call support and production support activities when required.
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in Application Support within enterprise environments.
- Advanced proficiency in .NET / C# .
- Experience supporting production applications and resolving technical incidents.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and writing SQL queries for troubleshooting.
- Experience working with Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with incident management and ITIL processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting banking or financial services applications.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of IIS, APIs, and web services.
