Tasks

• Creating product specifications that comply with standards, as well as processing the associated product data in the PDM system
• Making changes and adjustments to existing 3D designs
• Translating the specified manufacturing and joining processes, as well as assembly techniques, into technical product specifications that comply with standards
• Carrying out product data management, including design data, document and drawing management
• Making changes to existing technical product specifications and their documentation in accordance with internal change processes
• Creating non-animated and animated 3D concepts to visualise design concepts for quotations
• Assisting with the inspection and verification of products based on the product specifications created
• Assisting with the optimisation of relevant product data processing procedures
• Assisting with the design of components for new engineering solutions
• Assisting with the development of new engineering solutions

Requirements

• Completed training as a Technical Product Designer or Technical Draughtsman in the field of mechanical engineering/special-purpose machinery construction
• Extensive professional experience in drawing up technical product specifications and in product data management within SAP-PLM
• Extensive experience in using common CAD programmes (ideally Siemens NX) and in the product data management system
• SAP-PLM/SAP-ECTR
• Very good knowledge of the applicable standards ISO 8015, ISO GPS 14638, the Machinery Directive and military standards (VG, MIL-STD)
• Good written and spoken English
• Creativity, attention to detail, resilience, the ability to work in a team and assertiveness
• A structured, independent and self-reliant approach to work, as well as a high degree of initiative
• A very high level of commitment and a strong sense of responsibility
