Equipment Engineer / Senior Equipment Engineer
Job description
JOB SCOPE
- Maintain equipment performance to support quality production in a cleanroom environment.
- Ensure high equipment availability through effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement robust long-term solutions.
- Improve uptime, mean time between failures, throughput, and overall equipment reliability.
- Analyze equipment data, alarms, and fault logs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Drive defect reduction and support process stability in collaboration with process engineers.
- Develop, update, and execute preventive maintenance plans.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support equipment installation, relocation, startup, qualification, and commissioning.
- Work with equipment vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Lead cost reduction, spare optimization, and efficiency improvement projects.
- Provide on-the-job training and technical coaching to junior engineers and technicians.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment, including 5S practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across equipment, maintenance, and manufacturing operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Equipment Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a high-volume or highly controlled manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering, production, and vendor teams.
- Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to learn new equipment and technologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies for equipment performance improvement.
