The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Manager, Customer Platforms, as a Tech Lead - BTR you will provide end-to-end technical leadership across Mirvac's Build to Rent Leasing and Operations platforms, including the StarRez Property Management System ecosystem and Mirvac Consumer Application.

This is an opportunity to lead the evolution of a highly integrated digital ecosystem, partnering closely with BTR Operations, Marketing, Accounting and other business stakeholders to enable a digital first leasing journey, strong operational capability, and a differentiated resident experience aligned to the LIV brand.

Mirvac’s BTR portfolio is entering a critical phase of scale, requiring a modern, integrated technology stack that improves customer experience, drives leasing outcomes and supports efficient portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Own the technical direction, architecture and delivery of Mirvac's BTR Leasing and Operations platforms.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure and resilient solutions across the StarRez ecosystem and customer applications.
• Ensure solutions minimise technical debt whilst maximising delivery velocity and platform stability.
• Enable a digital first, self service leasing experience, improving speed to lease and conversion.
• Deliver a seamless omni channel engagement across MCA and core platforms.
• Support operational efficiency at scale, including automated onboarding, payments, renewals and resident services.
• Contribute to value drivers including improved customer experience, reduced cost to serve and increased retention.
• Ensure seamless connectivity across CRM, PMS, finance, payments, marketing and digital channels through modern API led integration.
• Drive the evolution toward an integrated tech stack and enterprise data layer supporting analytics and AI enabled use cases.
• Partner with Data & Analytics teams to enable reporting, insight generation and AI driven capabilities.
• Ensure platforms meet compliance obligations (privacy, tenancy legislation, audit and regulatory requirements).
• Embed compliance by design controls, auditability and data governance into all solutions.
• Maintain high standards of engineering governance, QA, security and platform integrity.
• Operate within Mirvac’s product centric delivery model, working in cross functional teams with business stakeholders.
• Manage delivery pipeline, prioritisation and resource allocation across initiatives.
• Contribute to digital modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentorship to engineers and vendors

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on technology expert with 8–12+ years experience in digital or technical leadership roles across software and data platforms.

You will have experience working with StarRez or a similar Property Management System (PMS) and understand how these platforms integrate across leasing, payments, CRM (preferably Salesforce), finance and customer channels.

You will also have

• Demonstrated experience operating within product centric or agile delivery models.
• Hands on engineering experience with mobile application development (React Native preferred)
• Strong background in stakeholder engagement across business, product and technology teams.
• Experience in property, leasing, marketplaces or operational platforms (desirable).
• Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns (API led, event driven, cloud native).
• Experience delivering customer facing digital platforms and mobile/web applications.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration, identity, payments and data platforms.
• Strong understanding of governance, security, privacy and compliance requirements.
