Do you have experience with the recruitment and selection process? Can you make decisions by analyzing data or information? The Utah Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) needs you as a Human Resources Generalist to join the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) to deliver high quality human resource services. You will work with management to provide solutions and expertise on unique recruitment and classification needs that will aid in the success and furthering of their mission. This office needs a dedicated HR professional to support these important agencies.
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $29.01 per hour. Preference may be given to current DHRM employees.
All candidates selected to fill vacancies at the Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) may be reassigned to other work locations within Salt Lake or Utah counties at any time based on business need. This recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies within DHRM.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including job posting creation, applicant tracking, active candidate sourcing, participation in interview panels, and seamless onboarding.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and provide recommendations on candidate selection.
Job Classification Analyses
- Analyze job content against established classification criteria to determine the appropriate job classification and salary range.
- Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate job descriptions that reflect the essential functions, responsibilities, and qualifications for each position.
- Collaborate effectively with the HR Field Director and compensation specialists on comprehensive job classification reviews and re-evaluations.
HRIS Management
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data within the HRIS system. (ie, CGI, Cornerstone, Vantage)
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders on a wide range of HR topics.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines consistently, and maintain accurate records.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve HR-related issues effectively and efficiently.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends, generate standard reports, and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Preference may be given to applicants with
- Experience with Google Drive applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc.).
- Experience using CGI, Cornerstone and Vantage.
- Current DHRM employees.
