Your team: The Sun is the biggest news brand in the UK - and still growing - with a talented and diverse team which publishes the best news, sport, lifestyle and showbiz stories in print and digital.

Your role: We are looking for a talented and versatile Freelance Video Editor to bring our stories to life. In this role, you will edit a diverse range of video formats, from rapid breaking news to polished studio shows, ensuring our content engages millions of viewers daily.

Day to day you will

Edit video content spanning a diverse range of formats and platforms. These include:

Breaking News: Rapid cutting of short clips for immediate publication on The Sun's website.

Shows: Thematic, TV-style programs filmed and produced in our studios.

Interviews: Editing content captured both face-to-face and via remote platforms such as Zoom.

Long-form Edits: Production of extended video content optimised for platforms like YouTube.

Social Media: Creation of platform-specific cuts for Facebook, X, TikTok, and other major social channels.

What we're looking for from you

Proficiency: Expert editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Technical Ability: Competence in Adobe Photoshop.

Filming Skills: The ability to operate a camera and capture footage.

Knowledge: A strong understanding of current affairs, showbiz, TV, and sport.

Temperament: The capacity to work effectively and remain composed under tight deadlines and pressure.
