Job description

Who We Are Neighborly Software was built to help communities make a difference in the lives of low-income families and vulnerable populations. Our mission is simple, “Helping Communities, Help People.”

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA we offer a cloud-based technology platform for the administration and disbursement of governments funds for programs such as Housing, Economic, Community Development, Disaster Recovery/MIT, Home Energy Rebate Programs, and Housing Choice Voucher programs.

We’re looking for a Demand Generation Marketing Manager to build and run a thought leadership program that generates new business pipeline. This is a builder role: you’ll own the strategy and execution for creating inbound demand through content, paid channels, and industry association relationships. Reporting to the VP of Commercial Operations and Marketing, you’ll be measured on the metrics that matter most to the business — Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), marketing-sourced pipeline, and revenue.

The ideal candidate understands how to market to the public sector and knows how to turn subject matter expertise into credible content that resonates with government buyers and the partners who serve them.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead a thought leadership program that establishes Neighborly Software as a trusted voice in housing and community development, driving net-new inbound demand.
  • Own the demand generation strategy across content, paid media, email, webinars, and events, with clear accountability for pipeline contribution.
  • Build and execute multi-channel campaigns that convert awareness into MQLs and sales-qualified opportunities.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with industry associations and partner organizations to expand reach, generate co-marketing opportunities, and build credibility within the public sector.
  • Create and program content — reports, guides, case studies, blogs, webinars, and speaking opportunities — in partnership with subject matter experts.
  • Manage paid acquisition channels (sponsored content, association media) and optimize spend against pipeline and cost-per-lead targets.
  • Build and refine a lead scoring program that prioritizes the highest-intent prospects, and partner closely with Sales to optimize the lead-to-sales handoff — ensuring lead quality, conversion velocity, and shared accountability for pipeline and revenue.
  • Define, track, and report on funnel metrics — MQLs, marketing-sourced pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue contribution — and use the data to continuously improve.
  • Manage the demand generation budget and vendor relationships to maximize return on investment.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of B2B demand generation or growth marketing experience, ideally in SaaS.
  • Public sector marketing experience — you understand how government agencies buy and what motivates public sector and community-serving organizations.
  • A proven track record of building inbound demand programs that deliver measurable MQLs and marketing-sourced pipeline.
  • Experience developing thought leadership and content programs from the ground up.
  • Hands-on experience managing paid channels and analyzing performance against pipeline goals.
  • Familiarity with cultivating industry association and partner relationships for marketing reach.
  • Strong command of marketing technology — marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and analytics tools.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into compelling content.
  • A data-driven, pipeline-focused mindset and comfort owning revenue-aligned goals.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing to housing, community development, grants management, or related government program areas.
  • Background working closely with sales teams in a pipeline-accountable role.
  • Experience at an early- or growth-stage company where you wore multiple hats.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Comprehensive Benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision plan options and Company-Paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance
  • 401K Contributions – Generous employer match with immediate vesting
  • Generous Time Off – 5 weeks of PTO, 9 paid holidays, and 3 days of volunteer time off each year
