Senior Telecom Engineer
Job description
Senior Telecom Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Telecom Engineer to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Senior Telecom Engineer, you will own the full lifecycle of enterprise network solutions — from requirements gathering and design through build, deployment, and production certification. You'll lead a portfolio of projects of varying scales, serving as the primary owner of all Telecom Operations deliverables and coordinating cross-functional resources to drive successful outcomes.
We will count on you to
Engineering & Design
- Translate business requirements into scalable enterprise network designs using proven engineering standards and best practices
- Produce comprehensive design documentation and maintain accurate as-built records throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop implementation playbooks and detailed approaches for bringing solutions and services into production
- Lead pre-configuration, pre-production testing, POC, and pilot activities
Deployment & Delivery
- Deploy solution infrastructure in alignment with defined rack elevations, including all required network cabling and connectivity
- Complete all configurations necessary to bring infrastructure and services live in the production environment
- Conduct end-to-end testing, document results, and provide production certification
- Facilitate project review meetings and formal operational turnover to support teams
Operations & Incident Management
- Monitor incident queues; troubleshoot, resolve, or assign tickets as required
- Perform Tier III and deep-dive root cause analysis on complex or elusive issues
- Take ownership of chronic and persistent incidents, engaging vendors and suppliers for resolution as needed
- Support operations teams with hands-on technical troubleshooting during major incidents and outages
- Provide cross-team technical support across infrastructure towers as requested
Project & Financial Management
- Manage project delivery against scope, schedule, and budget — applying best practices for approach, certification, back-out strategies, and approvals
- Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and submit orders through the requisitioning system
- Develop remediation plans for issues and risks, escalating to the PMO when appropriate
- Manage operational ticketing queues across changes, incidents, problems, and service requests
- Provide regular status reporting on Telecom deliverables
What you need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience deploying complete network communications solutions in large-scale enterprise environments (required)
- Cisco CCNP certification (required)
- Cisco CCIE certification (highly preferred)

- We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
