Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Night Auditor to join our Front Office team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth overnight operations and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.

What you will be doing: 

  • Balance daily transactions and prepare overnight reports with precision and accuracy
  • Verify and reconcile guest accounts, ensuring all charges are correctly posted
  • Provide exceptional customer service during check-in, check-out, and throughout the night shift
  • Assist guests with inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees
  • Follow and complete the Night Audit checklist to ensure all required tasks are accomplished
  • Collaborate with other departments to address any discrepancies or concerns
  • Generate and distribute various financial and operational reports
  • Support the front desk team with administrative tasks as needed.

You will excel in this role if you have: 

  • Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (essential)
  • Proficiency in hotel management software, particularly Opera Cloud, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rotating schedule
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and time management abilities.
