ABOUT THE ROLE.

Every hire so far has been run by the founding team. You're our first in-house talent hire. You'll own the machine that keeps hiring moving, working directly with our Strategic Initiatives Lead and COO.

The breadth is the point. At a fund, a coordinator supports one desk. Here you'll help hire quants, engineers, and controllers, and also operators, marketers, creatives, and counsel. The full cycle, across every function, from first touch to signed offer.

Do this well and the path is obvious: grow to lead our recruiting function alongside the founding team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO.

Run the hiring machine

  • Own scheduling end to end: screens, technical rounds, onsites, debriefs
  • Keep Ashby clean: pipelines, feedback, and data people can trust
  • Chase interviewer feedback so no candidate sits in limbo
  • Draft offers and run pre-onboarding so new hires land ready on day one

Own the candidate experience

  • You're the first impression of Ostium: fast responses, sharp logistics, every detail right
  • Keep candidates warm through long processes and help us close at the end

Own the pipeline

  • Own our relationships with search firms and external recruiters: briefs, feedback, accountability
  • Source candidates yourself: LinkedIn, referrals, communities, wherever the talent is
  • Work with hiring managers in every function to keep searches moving
  • Report pipeline health to leadership: where candidates stall, what converts, where to push

Build the function

  • Turn what works into process: structured loops, scorecards, templates
  • Track hiring data from day one; data drives every decision here, recruiting included
  • How we recruit is yours to shape

WHO YOU ARE.

  • 13 years in recruiting coordination or agency recruiting; you know what a great process feels like
  • You've lived in an ATS (Ashby, Greenhouse, Gem or similar) and keep it accurate without being asked
  • You've sourced before and know how to get a reply, or you're hungry to learn
  • Organized to a fault: names, time zones, follow-ups, nothing slips
  • A clear, fast communicator with candidates, founders, and external partners
  • High ownership: you spot the ball dropping and catch it before anyone asks
  • Comfortable when priorities shift; you re-sort and keep moving
  • You use AI tools to move faster
  • Curious about markets; you'll be hiring people who live them

Compensation.

Base salary: $110,000 - $170,000
