Senior Java Developer (Application Development) – N Level 4
Location: San Antonio, TX 78249 (Onsite)
Duration: 24 Months Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer (N Level 4) with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Apache Flink, Kafka, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise applications and real-time data processing solutions in an AWS environment.
This role requires hands-on experience building microservices, developing REST APIs, implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka, creating Apache Flink data pipelines, and deploying applications using Kubernetes and AWS services. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Golang for AWS Lambda/EKS development is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and Microservices.
- Strong experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven applications.
- Experience building and maintaining Apache Flink streaming/data processing pipelines.
- Experience working with AWS Cloud services including:
- Amazon EKS
- AWS Lambda
- API Gateway
- DynamoDB
- Amazon S3
- AWS Step Functions
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing AWS Lambda functions using Golang.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
- Understanding of enterprise application security and best coding practices.
