He aha te tūranga - About the role: 

The Event Operations Manager supports the National Operations Manager to deliver safe, high-quality Event Health Services across Aotearoa. The role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, delivering on strategic priorities and contractual commitments, and building a high-performing, engaged team.

Working across a diverse portfolio of community, sporting, cultural and commercial events, you'll develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead operational planning and delivery, and contribute to the ongoing growth and sustainability of Event Health Services.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving complex operational challenges, and developing people to perform at their best.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday based in Mt. Wellington, Auckland

You're an experienced operational leader who enjoys bringing people together to achieve great outcomes. You thrive in dynamic environments, can confidently balance competing priorities, and build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading operational teams in complex or geographically dispersed environments.
  • The ability to translate strategy into practical operational delivery.
  • Strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for developing, coaching and supporting people.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Sound commercial and operational judgement, with experience managing performance, resources and competing priorities.
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach with the resilience to adapt to changing operational demands.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive, inclusive team culture.
