Job description

The tech experience behind the tech company

Every great Derivco employee experience starts long before they open a laptop — it starts with a laptop that just works . A meeting room where the AV never fails. A help desk that solves problems before people even notice them.

That's the world you'll build.

We're looking for a Head of Workplace Technology to lead the function that keeps thousands of Derivco people — across every location, every time zone — productive, unblocked, and equipped to do their best work. This isn't a support desk. It's a strategic function with a mandate to modernise, automate, and elevate how technology feels for every employee, every day.

What you'll own

The end-to-end workplace technology estate — device lifecycle, platform administration, AV and event technology, and support delivery across every Derivco location globally.

  • Set the strategy. Define the direction for end user support, device lifecycle, and collaboration infrastructure — building a proactive, data-driven service, not a reactive one.
  • Run a tight ship on devices. Own imaging, provisioning, patching, and decommissioning across Windows and macOS, with real-time visibility into every asset in the estate.
  • Raise the service bar. Drive ticket discipline, self-service adoption, and AI-assisted resolution across first-to-third-line support — and push the function toward a genuinely ticketless future.
  • Govern the platform stack. Endpoint management, identity integration, collaboration tooling, digital signage — built for reliable delivery and escalation that actually resolves, not just reroutes.
  • Deliver flawless AV for the moments that matter. Company events, leadership meetings — technology should never be the reason something falls short.
  • Own the numbers. Manage a global budget with first-principles rigour, accurate chargeback modelling, and cost visibility at user level.
  • Build the team. Lead 5–10 direct reports and a wider function of 20–40, investing in career pathways and a culture people want to grow inside.

What you bring

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in IT operations and workplace technology, including 3+ years in senior leadership owning end user computing, service delivery, and device lifecycle at scale.
  • A track record of turning reactive support into proactive, automated service — you've done this before, not just talked about it.
  • Fluency in IT service management, enterprise device management (Windows & macOS, MDM tooling), Microsoft 365, and vendor/budget management.
  • The judgement to defend spend with data, and the influence to bring senior stakeholders along with your strategy.
  • A global mindset — you're comfortable leading across multiple countries and cultures, not just one HQ.

Why this role

You'll sit at the intersection of technology, people, and experience — with the mandate and the budget to actually fix things at scale, not just keep the lights on. You'll report directly to the CIO, partner with Security, Infrastructure, Facilities, and People teams, and shape how thousands of colleague's experience technology every single day.

If frictionless, invisible, "it just works" technology is your obsession — we want to talk.

Closing date: 14 July 2026
