Location: Malaysia - Port Klang
Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of the role is to act as the key on-site representative responsible for managing and facilitating the safe and efficient boarding and disembarkation of vessel crew and personnel. This role serves as the single point of contact for all matters related to crew access, compliance with security protocols, and coordination with port and vessel authorities.
Key Responsibilties
- Business partnering with port operations, vessel agents, and security teams to ensure smooth and timely boarding processes.
- Handling crew documentation verification, access control, and compliance with immigration and safety regulations.
- Acting promptly on any issues or disputes related to crew boarding and escalating to relevant operational or management teams as needed.
- Coordinating with port authorities, vessel operators, and internal departments to maintain effective communication and process flow.
- Ensuring adherence to safety, security, and company policies during all boarding operations.
- Managing records of crew movements and reporting any discrepancies or incidents to management.
Key Accountabilities
- To be 24/7 available to all operational needs and concerns.
- Doing Vessel clearance inward and outward
- Update MMSW and SCS System
- Liaise with related government authorities, eg, Custom, Immigration, Marine Department
- Doing paperwork, customs, quarantine, immigration requirements and approvals on the arrival and departure of the vessel in port.
- Deliver Parcel onboard
- Collect Water and Fuel sample from vessel for analysis
- Open DHL appointment for collection of Parcel / Fresh Water / Fuel Sample Etc.
- Apply temporary Port Pass
- Arrange crew to Medical / Book transport
- Update K4 manifest in Dagang Net system
- Open Optic appointment for vessel operations (Liner / Tanker).
- Adhere to additional task requested by superior.
