Job Summary

As a member of our Portfolio Marketing team at Atticus, you will play a pivotal role in the development, promotion, and strategic positioning of our products. You will be responsible for optimizing market access and accelerating the adoption curve in both our Ag and EcoCore business divisions while optimizing return on investment by active ingredient. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Communications, Development, Portfolio Optimization, Manufacturing, and Commercial Coordination to drive product success and customer satisfaction focused within a 36-month window. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, market insights, and creative marketing strategies to effectively communicate the value of our products to our customers. This role will report to the VP, Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Launches : Identify product launch strategies including positioning and launch tier. Coordinate with CommZ regarding communication plans and promotional materials. Ensure successful product introductions and market penetration through go-to-market strategies, pricing, and programs in conjunction with Commercial Coordination
  • Marketing Campaigns : Work collaboratively with our CommZ team to inform their execution of innovative marketing campaigns to drive awareness, demand, and sales of crop protection products.
  • Sales Support : Collaborate with the sales team to provide training, product information, and marketing collateral. Assist in developing sales strategies and supporting sales efforts with targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Brand Development : Collaborate with our CommZ team to develop messaging that resonates with the target audience and effectively communicates product benefits aligned with overall Atticus strategy.
  • Data Analysis : Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, sales data, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Industry Networking : Along with other key Atticus team members, represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Stay informed about industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Long-Term Portfolio Strategy : Develop and implement long-term strategies for product and portfolio management, ensuring that we are optimizing market access and accelerating the adoption curve. Ensure we have the correct geographic focus for each portfolio. Ensure that the Atticus is bringing forward a robust pipeline of products that drives the continued growth of our business.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting : Lead budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure effective resource allocation and financial planning for marketing initiatives and product launches.

Qualifications - Characteristics - Experience

  • In-Depth Market Insight: Competitive playing field perspective and understanding of US and global pesticide markets, farming practices, commercial and residential pest control markets, and agricultural markets.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, coordination, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver succinct statements with impact.
  • Project Management Excellence: Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment to drive One Atticus results.
  • Analytical & Strategic Marketing Expertise: A clear quantitative thinker with proven experience and understanding of marketing principles and brand management strategies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft programs, specifically Power Point and Excel.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in marketing, agronomy, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
