Job description

The post involves managing a team of Healthcare Assistants and supporting the Clinical Nurse Manager in delivering high-quality palliative care.

Responsibilities include overseeing clinical services, coordinating care, and leading staff development to ensure patient-focused care that aligns with Marie Curie’s values.

Although the role is based at the hospice in Penarth, it is a community-based position.
 

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 6 (aligned with AFC) £40,559 - £48,841 pro rata per annum + enhancements 

Contract:  Permanent – Part-Time - 22.5 hours per week (The service will operate 09:00-17:00 Monday- Friday)   

Based:  Cardiff and the Vale Hospice as well as out in the community 

What we're looking for:

  • Registered Nurse on NMC Register with a relevant Nursing Degree.
  • Proven experience in palliative care (hospice/hospital/community).
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively.
  • Commitment to continual professional development and reflective practice.
