Job description

This role is based Ha Phan Building Office.

The Assistant PR& Event Manager is responsible for designing and delivering the product / event  in support of Senior Event Manager. Through a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs and develop the long-term Event design, through both responding to existing customer feedback and identifying new and innovative opportunities to improve the Event. Will support the management of the P&L of a specific event, while supporting with the financial, operational and customer performance of each product. Working alongside Sales, Marketing and Operations, Assistant PR & Event Manager will ensure all elements are aligned to create a successful Event.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Media/Content Management:

  • Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and pitch stories
  • Work with PR agency to organize press conferences and media interviews
  • Monitor media coverage
  • Track PR metrics including media impressions, sentiment, and share of voice
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness and provide insights

2. Event and Buyer Development:

  • Support the development of a Event’s strategy and direction, to enrich the value proposition Informa Markets provides
  • Develop and improve the customer experience at each Event, ensuring feedback is collated and incorporated
  • Support Senior Event Manager in monitor of the side-event P&L, including successful conferences and seminars
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure all elements of the conference/ seminars are in alignment to create successful event
  • Negotiate with venues and suppliers together with Operations and Procurement for Event specific requirements
  • Build relationships with key buyers, associations to understand both specific and wider market needs, feeding trends / issues back into Event strategy
  • Develop deep industry knowledge through personal relationships and market analysis
  • Work with Senior Event Executive to develop data of key buyers for the event in line with event KPIs
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, or Business...
  • 5 - 7 years in Event development and relevant PR experience
  • Stakeholder Management: Associations, Buyers, Media, Government bodies.
  • Strong communication and follow-through skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders and other functions to ensure successful implementation of a matrixed business model
  • Required travel approximately 20 - 30%
  • Strategic Thinking: Market research, Trend analysis, Opportunity identification
  • Willing to work under pressure and tight schedules, especially during peak event season.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute beyond core responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office, Canva support tools
