Position Summary
The Facilities Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring our Dealerships run safely, efficiently, and smoothly. This position is a blend of hands-on technical maintenance, vendor coordination, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats to keep the facility in peak operational condition.

Responsibilities
- Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and light plumbing/electrical tasks. Monitor and replace interior/exterior lighting fixtures (including ballasts and LED drivers) as needed.
- Inspections & Compliance: Conduct daily walk-throughs of the property to identify maintenance needs. Assist with coordinating monthly safety compliance inspections, including back flow testing, fire alarms, and HVAC systems.
- Vendor Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for external service contractors (janitorial, landscaping, waste management, HVAC technicians). Ensure vendors adhere to building rules and complete work to standard.
- Space & Logistics Management: Assist with internal moves, furniture assembly, and room setups for meetings or events. Receive and organize commercial deliveries and supply inventory.
- Safety & Emergency Response: Maintain clean, clear pathways and ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety codes. Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or urgent repair requests.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of commercial facility maintenance property management, or related skilled trade (handyman, construction, electrical, etc.)
- Proven understanding of basis building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Comfortable operating a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Forklift certification preferred
- Strong communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred not required
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Driver License

- Remain on your feet for extended periods of time
