Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Risk, Assurance & Performance to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the Program Management Office's (PMO) risk management, independent assurance, and performance evaluation functions. You will be responsible for proactively identifying organizational risks, implementing robust assurance frameworks, and driving continuous improvement across all program initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities, decisive leadership, and a visionary approach to enterprise risk management.

  • Lead and direct the PMO's risk management function, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring across all program portfolios
  • Establish and maintain independent assurance processes to ensure program compliance, quality standards, and adherence to organizational policies
  • Develop and implement comprehensive performance evaluation frameworks that measure program effectiveness and organizational impact
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and vulnerabilities, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership for risk mitigation
  • Design and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track program performance and organizational objectives
  • Manage and mentor a team of risk and assurance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
  • Prepare and present detailed risk, assurance, and performance reports to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management and performance evaluation into program planning and execution
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with industry best practices
  • Drive organizational learning initiatives focused on risk awareness and performance optimization
  • *Required Qualifications:**
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in risk management, assurance, internal audit, or program management
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and monitoring performance metrics and KPIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior executives
  • Proficiency in program and project management principles and practices
  • Experience with risk assessment tools and performance management software
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Direct experience working within a Program Management Office (PMO) environment
  • Background in enterprise risk management (ERM) or organizational governance
  • Familiarity with assurance standards and frameworks (ISO 31000, COSO, or similar)
  • Experience managing stakeholders in matrix organizational structures
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to program management
  • Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools
