F.H. Furr, a leader in residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services for over 40 years, is seeking motivated individuals to join our HVAC Service Apprentice Program in Northern Virginia . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a passion for helping customers. No HVAC experience is required—we will provide the training you need to build a successful career.

Our fully paid HVAC Apprentice Program begins August 3, 2026 , at the Furr Academy , located at our headquarters in Manassas, Virginia .

What You'll Do

As an HVAC Service Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the heating and cooling industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn to install, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems under the guidance of experienced technicians
• Assist with diagnostic and troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve HVAC system issues
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and addressing homeowner concerns
• Support technicians with service calls, system inspections, and routine maintenance
• Identify customer needs and collaborate with team members regarding additional products and services that may enhance comfort and efficiency
• Follow all company safety practices and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
• Participate in classroom and hands-on training through the Furr Academy

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning HVAC systems and technology
• Desire to build a long-term career in the skilled trades
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift equipment and work in varying indoor and outdoor environments
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be at least 21 years old to meet company driving requirements
