Barista

Duties to include - Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffees. Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with orders. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café. Restock ingredients, cups, milk, pastries, and other supplies as required. Process customer orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash and card transactions responsibly. Ensure food safety and health & safety procedures are followed at all times. Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment cleaning and cash reconciliation. Work closely with team members to maintain efficient service during busy periods. Monitor product quality and report equipment issues promptly. Upsell menu items and promote seasonal beverages and special offers. What you'll bring Previous experience as a Barista or in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred. Experience using commercial espresso machines and coffee grinders. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Positive attitude with a proactive and team-oriented approach. Good organisational and time-management skills. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
