Frederick Health Urgent Care Urbana is seeking a full-time Practice Lead for Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary
The Practice Lead will manage daily operations of the Frederick Health Medical Group including but not limited to administrative, personnel, clerical, housekeeping, purchasing, and customer service functions. The Practice Lead plans, programs, allocates, and assigns duties to the employees and monitors activities and operations to ensure that the practice successfully meets its objectives and Frederick Health strategic goals and initiatives as aligned with Patient Centered Medical Home. As the Practice Lead, this position is expected to serve as a working lead alongside and filling in for practice staff as appropriate. This position works closely with and under the general supervision of the Practice Manager

- Operations
- No direct supervision of employees.
- May assist Practice Manager in completion of staff evaluations; 90-day and annual.
- May assist Practice Manager in employee progressive disciplinary action using appropriate coaching/counseling methodology approved and supported by Human Resources
- May assist Practice Manager in the hiring and onboarding process for new hires to include timely completion of competency skills
- Ensure employees understand and are incompliance with policies and procedures
- Monitor personnel to ensure that employees are performing their assignments in a manner designed to maintain a high level of patient care and job efficiency
- Coordinates the operational schedules to ensure practice is resourced to provide high quality and efficient care meeting provider and patient needs
- Receives staff call-outs, obtains coverage, fills-in when possible, rearranges schedule when no other coverage is available
- Promotes a clean and clutter free facility and coordinates maintenance issues, repairs, and safety/security needs with appropriate system resources
- Oversees office and medical supply inventory including vaccines in compliance with monitoring of expired goods
- Quality/Service
- Understands quality/service measures and goals relating to staff and provider performance in order to support remediation and improvement efforts
- Assists with translating population health and quality program requirements into operational workflows and communication efforts to staff and providers in collaboration with quality department resources.
- Participates in monitoring and collaborating with site personnel to insure all quality/service measures are achieved.
- Ensures patient care is delivered in a systematic approach to ensure continuity of care with emphasis on the patient centered medical neighborhoods and the importance of primary care
- Assists in managing patient experience concerns, engages in customer service initiatives; monitors CG-CAPS metrics and addresses customer service opportunities for improvement
- Finance/Revenue Cycle
- Works with CBO leadership to ensure practice level point of service collections/ charge entry processes are effective and efficient
- Assist with billing/ collections opportunities as it relates to the cost of services and reimbursement
- Participates and ensure compliance with coding and reimbursement audits
- Monitor routine financial reports and identify areas for improvement including productivity and budget performance
- Other Duties as assigned
- Supports Leadership with day-to-day operations
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
· Two years of experience in medical practice, hospital, or clinic setting. Certified/Licensed MA, CNA or higher preferred
· Associates degree or higher in healthcare preferred.
· Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team based environment

If applicable, must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. Possess the ability to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/department's policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
Sedentary - Light Work - Lifting up to 15 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes). While work is mostly done sitting, a certain amount of walking or standing is often necessary.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
Hourly range: $22.27 to $31.28
